ADlite refers to Supplemental LED Light Bars designed to work in conjunction with full spectrum LED grow lights. These light bars are not typically used on their own—they function as auxiliary lighting to enhance specific parts of the light spectrum based on your plants’ needs.

Why choose standalone supplemental lights instead of integrated spectrum LEDs?
Using standalone supplemental lights — like UV, IR, Blue, and Deep Red — gives growers much greater control over light application and plant development, compared to LEDs with fixed integrated spectrums.

Customized Spectrum Adjustment: fine-tune your light recipe for each growth stage to maximize efficiency and yield.
Energy Efficiency: avoid energy waste by only using targeted wavelengths when necessary.
Flexibility: supplemental lights can be installed at custom positions or embedded into Mars Hydro FC / FCE fixtures using their bracket system for optimal light distribution.
How should I use UV, IR, Red, and Blue supplemental lights for the best growing results?
Each light type plays a specific role during a plant's life cycle — and timing matters. For specific usage times, please refer to the chart at the bottom of this page.
- IR Light:
Recommended for the flowering stage. Run 30 minutes daily — 15 minutes before the main light starts, and 15 minutes after the main light turns off.
- UV Light:
During the flowering stage, turn on for 10 minutes per hour when the main light is on. Advanced users can gradually increase UV exposure based on the growth stage.
*Note: UV rays may irritate plants and cause damage, so they should not be used for long periods of time.
- Red Light:
Used throughout the flowering phase. Match the main light schedule (usually 12 hours ON / 12 hours OFF).
- Blue Light:
Used throughout the vegetative stage. Synchronize with the main light schedule.
**Important:** The usage time for Blue and Deep Red light is typically synchronized with the main LED light cycle.
If your main LED light cycle is 12 hours, Blue and Deep Red should also be used for 12 hours.
If your main LED light cycle is 16 hours, Blue and Deep Red should be used for 16 hours as well.
Why does Mars Hydro offer UV+IR and Blue+Red as bundled sets instead of selling them individually?
Mars Hydro bundles are designed for both scientific logic and cost-effectiveness:
1. Scientific Reasoning:
UV and IR primarily enhance the flowering phase, but require precise time management. Blue and Deep Red are essential for vegetative growth and flowering, and are easier to use since they sync directly with your main LED light schedule, best for beginners.
2. Economic Advantage:
Bundled sets offer a full spectrum solution at a lower combined price, compared to buying each light separately. This lowers the cost barrier for growers and saves on shipping fees. Whether you're a hobbyist or a commercial grower, bundles give you an efficient, future-proof setup at better value.
How do I power the ADlite LED light bars?
Please note that ADlite light bars are independently powered.
Each ADlite comes with its own plug, making it a true plug-and-play solution. Due to differences in power requirements and usage time, they cannot share the same power driver with dimmable main LED grow lights. This means ADlite bars require a separate power connection.
The good news is, this allows you to pair them with any third-party brand of main LED grow light, without being limited by the power capacity of the main light’s driver. Just make sure to check the dimensions (length and width) for compatibility.
Can I connect ADlite to the MarsPro App?
While the ADlite LED bars do not have built-in smart modules, you can still achieve remote smart timing control by pairing them with the Mars Hydro iTime 2-in-1 Smart Timer or iHub. For a full ADlite set (UV + IR + Red + Blue), only two iTime timers are needed to complete the setup.
In short, by purchasing iTime smart timers separately, you can easily integrate your ADlite bars into the MarsPro App, enabling scheduled on/off control and eliminating the hassle of frequent manual switching.

ADlite Blue Blue light regulates plant morphology during the vegetative stage, promoting compact growth and sturdy stems, which benefits fruit development in later stages.
660 nm 
ADlite Deep Red Deep red light promotes flowering and fruiting in plants, resulting in larger, stronger flowers and fruits. It also enhances the color of flowers and fruits while improving the sweetness of the fruit.
