Mars Hydro 2025 ifresh smart fan

What’s New in the Mars Hydro 2025 iFresh Smart Fan

We're excited to introduce the Mars Hydro 2025 iFresh Smart Fan, now fully compatible with the MarsPro App! With this update, you can monitor and control your fan remotely, plus enjoy major upgrades like VPD data integration, 3 smart modes, and a fully optimized app interface. These enhancements make plant care easier and more intelligent than ever!

VPD Added to Data Panel

VPD is now seamlessly integrated into the MarPro app’s fan data panel. This powerful upgrade empowers you to monitor and optimize every aspect of your grow room environment like never before. Alongside essential metrics like temperature, humidity, airspeed, air volume, and air pressure, you can also track VPD in real time—ensuring your plants thrive in the perfect climate.

What is VPD?

VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit), is the difference between the current moisture level in the air and the maximum moisture the air can hold when fully saturated at a given temperature. Measured in kPa (kilopascals), VPD reflects the dryness of the air relative to its temperature. Think of it as the driving force behind your plants’ ability to transpire and absorb nutrients effectively.

VPD directly affects transpiration rates, nutrient uptake, and overall plant health. When VPD is in the ideal range, plants breathe easily and absorb nutrients efficiently. But if VPD strays too far from this range, problems arise. Excessively high VPD leads to dehydration, while excessively low VPD impairs respiration, promotes root rot, and encourages fungal growth. Managing VPD is key to optimizing indoor plant growth and yield.

Improved Smart Operation Modes

The Mars Hydro 2025 iFresh Smart Fan introduces three advanced smart modes—Auto, Cycle, and Timer—enhancing control and efficiency. Users can preset the fan speed, ranging from 25% to 100%, ensuring optimal airflow. When a mode is active, the fan operates at the selected speed, and even when inactive, a "standby mode" setting can keep the fan running at 25%, ensuring a continuous supply of fresh air for your plants.

3 smart modes

Here’s how each mode works:

Auto Mode

With Auto Mode, you can set climate triggers to establish a “safe range” for your grow environment. If the temperature or humidity strays beyond your preset limits, the iFresh Smart Fan kicks in automatically, fine-tuning the climate to restore optimal conditions.

Auto mode

Temperature & Humidity Setting: You can set specific thresholds for temperature and humidity. The fan will activate automatically once these conditions are reached. You can choose from three priorities:

  • Humidity priority
  • Temperature priority
  • Both temperature & humidity

Dead Zone: You can set a dead zone for the temperature and humidity trigger thresholds. This prefers a buffer range around the trigger thresholds, preventing frequent on/off cycles and ensuring smoother operation and more stable control.

  • For example, if the temperature trigger is set to 25°C and the dead zone is 2°C, the fan will turn on only when the temperature reaches 27°C (25°C + 2°C) and will turn off when it drops below 25°C.

The proper dead zone is important, and the official recommendation is 2°C. A larger dead zone may slow the fan’s response, affecting temperature and humidity precision, while a smaller dead zone could lead to frequent cycling, reducing efficiency and potentially shortening the fan's lifespan.

Cycle Mode

Cycle Mode enables the fan to run automatically in a repeating cycle based on your preset start time, running duration, shutdown duration, and number of cycles, ensuring effortless operation.

Cycle mode

Start Time: Set the exact time when the cycle should begin. This can be any time between 00:00 – 23:59.

Running Dueatiob: Define how long the fan should stay on during each cycle. The duration is adjustable between 00:00:00 – 23:59:59

Shutdown Duration: Specify the duration the fan will remain off before restarting the next cycle. This can be set between 00:00:00 – 23:59:59.

Number of Cycles: Choose how many times the fan should complete this on/off cycle per day, with an adjustable range of 1 – 99 cycles per day.

Timer Mode

Timer Mode gives you complete control over your fan’s schedule, allowing you to customize its operation for different times of the day. Here are the details:

Timer mode

Running Stages: You can set up to five stages in a single day, customizing the fan’s activity to suit your needs.

On/Off Control: Each stage can be turned on or off individually through the MarsPro app, giving you the flexibility to adjust as conditions change.

Time Settings: Schedule each stage anytime between 00:00 and 23:59 to match your daily routine. Note that stages can’t span past midnight—cross-day scheduling isn’t supported.

In addition to the three smart modes, we also support a separate Standby Mode setting on top of the three smart modes that allows the fan to run at 25% instead of shutting down when it is not active. Keeps the grow space air circulating at all times.
